Kevin is a single father with a dedicated focus on providing for his family. With a determination to advance further in his life for his kids, he found CRCD and enrolled in the Multi-Core Curriculum (MC3) training program, a free, paid gateway opportunity to a career in construction. The MC3 training program provides pathways to union apprenticeships and matches participants to potential jobs after completion of the program. With the need to succeed, Kevin took the Hi-set test to receive his high school diploma and finish the MC3 program. He believes that CRCD positively impacted his life by learning about unions and matching before the program was even over! The support Kevin received from CRCD allowed him to find resources for those struggling financially, and that is what kept Kevin on his feet. Kevin has now secured employment with Southwest Carpenters, where he will immediately start his apprenticeship after he finishes the program. We are proud of how far Kevin has come!

If you are interested in learning more about the MC3 training program, visit the Vernon-Central/LATTC WorkSource Center located at 400 W Washington Blvd., Los Angeles, CA 90011 on Tuesdays or Thursdays at 10:00 am for orientation.

At CRCD, we are dedicated to changing lives and building neighborhoods responsibly by providing better jobs opportunities for our adult and youth residents of South LA!
