November, 30, 2024 – Los Angeles – Today, the story of De Olla Café takes center stage as the Coalition for Responsible Community Development’s (CRCD) BusinessSource Center hosted a ribbon-cutting ceremony. De Olla Café prides themselves on creating a culinary experience that is meaningful, authentic and deeply rooted in their Oaxacan heritage.

Laura Santiago and her husband, the owners of De Olla Café, immigrated to the United States with a passion for cooking and a unique sazón that would soon set their dishes apart. Their journey began with a catering service that allowed them to build the foundation for their culinary aspirations. Inspired by an extended family of entrepreneurs, they were determined to follow in their footsteps.

The pandemic in 2020 became a defining moment for the business owners. It compelled Laura and her husband to reimagine their goals and pursue the independence and stability they had long dreamed of. Encouraged by loyal clients who praised the unforgettable flavors of their food, they took a leap of faith and began their journey toward opening De Olla Café.

Today, De Olla Café sets itself apart in a competitive market by using freshly sourced ingredients, minimizing preservatives, and preparing everything homemade, including their signature coffee. It’s a testament to Laura and her husband’s dedication to quality and community.

“De Olla Café is more than a business—it’s a place where we connect with the community through nutritious, flavorful food made with love and sazón,” said Laura. “We’re committed to creating a welcoming space for everyone to enjoy. I want to thank CRCD BSC for always helping our community in creating positive growth”.

Through dedication, hard work, and unwavering belief in their dream, Laura and her husband remain steadfast in their commitment to grow their business while staying true to their values. De Olla Café is a testament to their journey, a celebration of their heritage, and a promise to continue serving their community with heart and authenticity.
