Welcome to YouthBuild at the Coalition for Responsible Community Development (CRCD), where we are dedicated to empowering young people and revitalizing our community. Our comprehensive program addresses education, job training, leadership development, and community service, providing a solid foundation for a brighter future.
Who We Serve
YouthBuild at CRCD is designed for young people aged 16 to 24 who are currently out of school and unemployed. Our participants often face significant challenges such as poverty, homelessness, and involvement with the criminal justice system. We believe in their potential and are committed to helping them overcome these barriers.
Our Program
Education
We provide participants with the opportunity to earn their high school diploma or GED. Through partnerships with local educational institutions, we offer academic support and resources to ensure success.
Job Training
Participants receive hands-on training in construction, gaining valuable skills while building or rehabilitating affordable housing for homeless and low-income families. We also offer training in other in-demand fields such as healthcare, information technology, and customer service.
Leadership Development
YouthBuild at CRCD emphasizes leadership development, civic engagement, and community service. We encourage our participants to take on leadership roles, fostering a sense of responsibility and empowerment that extends beyond our program.
Support Services
We provide a range of support services, including counseling, mentoring, career guidance, and job placement assistance. Our goal is to help participants navigate personal and social challenges, supporting their transition to adulthood and independence.
Community Impact
Through YouthBuild, participants contribute to community development by constructing and rehabilitating affordable housing, addressing the urgent need for safe, affordable living spaces.
