Director of Marketing and Communications

The Director of Marketing and Communications serves as the lead administrator to provide vision, creativity, and strategy for all marketing, social media, and communications activities. This position is a key member of the CRCD director level leadership team. The director will report to the Chief Operations Officer (COO) and play a critical leadership role with CRCD, leading the development of a marketing strategy and support programs, ensuring alignment with CRCD’s vision, programmatic goals, and long-term objectives for systems change. The director will establish branding policies, marketing standards, external visibility, and enforcement of branding guideline requirements. 

 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES 

  • Develop and implement marketing & communication strategies by preparing annual marketing work plans, designing annual reports, creating a calendar of campaigns and events, setting budgets, and analyzing the market and competitors to promote CRCD impact and services to funders, targeted organizations, local community, and program participants. 
  • Oversee all marketing strategies, communications, public relations, and media related activities for the organization including press releases and distribution, creative advertising design and placement, creation of marketing assets, social media content, short form videos and website design and updates. 
  • Serve as lead on editorial design, direction, and content of organization’s electronic and print media including newsletters, annual reports, website content, and creative advertising. 
  • Manage social media presence and promote programs to improve social media reputation in order in visibility to local and funding audiences. 
  • Assist design team with overflow in design and website updates. 

QUALIFICATIONS 

  • 8-10 years’ experience, bachelor’s degree in marketing, Communications or related field, or equivalent work experience. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills. 
  • Excellent understanding of business practices; sales, marketing, customer service. 
  • Excellent written and verbal communication, good problem-solving, and interpersonal skills. 
  • Strong project management skills and ability to multi-task 

 

SALARY RANGE $94,000-102,000 annually, exempt
