The Project
Join Genesis LA, Center for Community Investment, Coalition for Responsible Community Development (CRCD), CRCD Partners and partners for a small, neighborhood-scale gathering marking the start of construction at 4th Avenue Homes—one of the first projects in South Los Angeles built under California Senate Bill 9 (SB 9).
This project demonstrates how new state housing policies can support attainable homeownership while fitting within existing residential neighborhoods. Located in Hyde Park, the development will add two new homes alongside an existing residence, using a shared ownership model designed to lower barriers to homeownership.
The groundbreaking also highlights a broader partnership between CRCD, Genesis LA, and the Center for Community Investment as part of a national initiative to expand fair access to homeownership and address long-standing gaps in housing opportunity.
