Susana Gonzalez enrolled for services provided at the CRCD operated, Vernon-Central / LATTC WorkSource Center in mid-January 2019. She was a recent college grad searching for a place to apply her degree in Social Welfare and Disabilities Studies. As many students coming out of college may understand, finding work immediately after graduation can be a challenging and daunting task.

Upon enrollment for services at the WorkSource Center, a CRCD intake specialist reviewed Susana’s expansive involvement with her community and assisted her with a lead on a job fair recruiting case managers.

With preparation and encouragement from the CRCD team, Susana attended the job fair.  Thanks to the connections she made there, Susana received an offer of employment as a Client Services Coordinate at Chrysalis.

Susana is now assisting others seeking jobs by helping them develop their interviewing skills and resumes to attain employment.  Susana is a great example of using the resources available in her community to network and gain skills necessary to attain employment.
