Housing and Support

CRCD Housing and Support Services:
A Safe Place to Call Home

At CRCD, we are committed to developing and operating permanent supportive housing for youth, families, seniors, individuals with special needs, and other low-income households. Our Housing and Support Services Department focuses on helping young people ages 18-24 obtain safe and stable housing.

Join CRCD’s Housing Programs

Our programs provide on-site support services at permanent supportive housing developments throughout South LA. These homes are for individuals who have experienced homelessness, including those reintegrating from institutions such as the child welfare system, the Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health, and the Los Angeles County Probation Department.

Ruth’s Place

To better serve young people experiencing homelessness, CRCD operates Ruth’s Place, a drop-in center for youth who would otherwise be on the streets. Ruth’s Place provides clothing, food, showers, transportation support, and access to support services and referrals. Services offered at Ruth’s Place include housing assistance, case management, life skills workshops, mental health assessments, and referrals.

To access services offered by the Housing & Support Services department, please call them directly at (323) 432-2440 or visit Ruth’s Place Drop-in Center for Homeless Youth.

Due to necessary maintenance, Ruth’s Place will be temporarily closed. During this period, our dedicated team will be stationed at our Grand office to ensure that all business continues as usual.
