Honoring Dean Matsubayashi

Thank you for joining us for the grand opening of Dean’s Place, a new affordable housing community in South Los Angeles, developed through a partnership between Little Tokyo Service Center (LTSC) and the Coalition for Responsible Community Development (CRCD).

Dean’s Place is named in honor of Dean Matsubayashi, the late Executive Director of Little Tokyo Service Center. Dean was a trusted partner, friend and board member to Coalition for Responsible Community Development (CRCD) and a widely respected pioneer in the community development sector. His work and vision helped advance the collaborative spirit and shared commitment that made projects like this one possible.

Dean’s Place reflects years of listening to the community, planning for the future, and steady work by partners who believe in the importance of safe, affordable housing. This event brings together residents, community partners, funders, and leaders who helped turn a shared vision into a real place to call home.
